FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Welcome to our FAQ section, where you’ll find answers to common questions about our machinery, services, and company. We’ve organized the questions into two main categories to make your search easier:

FAQ you might ask BEFORE REACHING OUT

Yes, our production processes are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, guaranteeing the quality of our products and our commitment to environmental sustainability.

What distinguishes us is our historical focus on lead oxide production (from solid lead handling to paste production) and plate curing. Thanks to this focus, all our technicians are comprehensively trained on lead oxide and curing, both in terms of the final product and the machinery. Our machinery is designed to deliver superior performance, reduce operational costs, and minimize environmental impact. Furthermore, we offer personalized service and high-level technical support.

“MOP ball mills are designed and built to last a lifetime, maximizing efficiency and precision in lead oxide production, ensuring consistent final product quality. We offer customized solutions to meet each client’s specific needs, with a strong focus on reducing operational costs and increasing productivity.”

The MOP mill features a unique internal nebulized water cooling system, for 2 main reasons:

  • Internal cooling provides direct control of the mill’s internal temperature, preventing temperature spikes that occur with external cooling. This prevents the formation of ‘orthorhombic’ molecular structure, which is harmful to battery quality.

  • The mill cylinder lasts for many years, unlike external cooling systems where external surface limescale builds up.”

Our curing chambers offer precise temperature and humidity control, ensuring uniform plate curing.
In particular, humidity is generated by 1 bar steam and horizontal laminar flow, ensuring all plates within the chamber are cured homogeneously. Most importantly, ‘green spots’ are eliminated. This results in extended battery lifespan and superior performance. Additionally, our systems are designed to minimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impact.”

In recent years, we have patented the LEAD SHAVER, for producing feed material for ball mills, replacing traditional casting cylinders.
The FASMELT, on the other hand, is our rapid melting furnace for all lead melting processes. This furnace is suitable for processes such as Barton reactors, rolling mills, COS, etc. Our latest-generation machinery is designed to eliminate CO2 emissions and optimize energy consumption.
We utilize advanced technologies that enable high production performance with minimal environmental impact.
We are committed to developing sustainable solutions for the lead battery industry.

We offer a wide range of customization options to tailor our machinery to each client’s specific requirements. From production capacity to dimensions and configurations, we work closely with our clients to provide bespoke solutions.

We provide comprehensive after-sales service, including installation, staff training, maintenance, and technical support. Our team of experts is always available to ensure the proper functioning of our machinery and to resolve any issues promptly.

We have installed 63 mills worldwide from 1995 to date. They are all still operational.

We produce 3 types of sizes: 14, 24, 30 tons

We have installed over 200 curing chambers worldwide.

We produce 3 sizes: 16, 20, and 56 pallets

Certainly, we can install: manual doors, sliding doors, and roller doors, depending on the battery manufacturer’s needs.

Our steam cure chambers are powered by electricity for motors and movement. For chamber heating, we install both gas burners and electrical resistances. For humidity generation, we use 1 bar steam and atomized water in case of emergency.

All electrical devices and software are Siemens. Alternatively, we use Rockwell.

We are proud to have collaborated with numerous leading companies in the lead-acid battery sector. We will be happy to provide references upon request. Click on the link to read direct testimonials, written by them: https://www.cam-srl.com/testimonials/

CAM srl was founded in 1967 as a metalworking maintenance company within automotive and lead-acid battery plants, specifically FIAT and Magneti Marelli. We later began developing our own machinery. Since the 1990s, we have focused solely on the design and production of our own machinery, discontinuing maintenance services.

Our machinery is present on 4 continents: Europe, America, Africa, and Asia. You can see all our installations in detail by clicking this link: https://www.cam-srl.com/cam/

Certainly. As you can see in the GALLERY section (https://www.cam-srl.com/gallery/), we have lead-acid battery manufacturers who have relied on CAM for over 30 years. This emphasizes that CAM is strongly committed to the battery manufacturer’s final objectives, performance, and success.

FAQ AFTER your CAM investment decision
